Author Guidelines

Call for Papers

We invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit manuscripts relevant to the scope of OSTINATO Journal. All submissions will be initially screened by the editors to ensure alignment with the journal’s vision and scope. Manuscripts deemed suitable will undergo a peer-review process prior to an editorial decision on acceptance or rejection.

 

Before Submitting a Manuscript:

  • Authors are responsible for securing publication permissions for all supporting materials, including photographs, documents, and datasets.
  • All listed authors must have agreed to be identified as contributors to the manuscript.
  • Research involving human subjects must obtain ethical approval from the relevant ethics committee.

 

Manuscript Preparation:

  • Language: Manuscripts may be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English.
  • Length: 5,000–7,000 words (including notes and references).
  • Structure: Manuscripts must include the following components in order:

 

 

    • Title (in Bahasa Indonesia and English, maximum 14 words)
    • Abstract (in Bahasa Indonesia and English, 250–300 words) containing objectives, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions. The abstract must stand alone without citations.
    • Keywords (3–5 phrases in Bahasa Indonesia and English)
    • Introduction
    • Methods
    • Results and Discussion
    • Conclusion
    • Acknowledgments (optional)
    • References

 

References: Must follow the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th Edition. The use of reference management software such as Mendeley is strongly recommended. At least 80% of the references should be primary sources (journal articles or conference proceedings) published within the last 10 years.

 

Template: Manuscripts must be prepared using the official OSTINATO Journal template (to be provided separately).

 

Important Notes:

  • Manuscripts must not be under review by another journal at the time of submission.
  • Multiple simultaneous submissions will not be considered.
  • To ensure the blind review process, authors’ names and affiliations must not appear in the manuscript file. This information should only be provided in the metadata of the Open Journal System (OJS) submission.
