Publication Ethics

The publication ethics policy of OSTINATO Journal refers to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as the standard for best practices.

Duties of Editors:

1. Publication Decisions:

Editors hold full responsibility for deciding which submitted articles will be published, based on the results of the peer-review process.

2. Fair Evaluation:

Manuscripts are evaluated solely on their academic merit, without discrimination regarding the authors’ identity, background, or affiliations.

3. Confidentiality

Manuscript-related information must only be accessible to relevant parties (authors, reviewers, and editors).

4. Conflicts of Interest

Editors must not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for their own research or personal advantage.

Duties of Reviewers:

1. Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts.

2. Maintain confidentiality of the manuscripts under review.

3. Disclose any potential conflicts of interest to the editors.

Duties of Authors:

1. Originality and Authorship

Manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism or duplicate publication.

2. Reporting Standards

Research data must be presented accurately, clearly, and in a verifiable manner.

3. Multiple Submissions

Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.

4. Acknowledgment of Sources

Proper acknowledgment of all sources, citations, and references must be provided.

5. Authorship Criteria

Only those who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors.

6. Post-Publication Corrections

If an author discovers a significant error in their published work, they are obligated to promptly notify the editor to request a correction or retraction.
